Crime Free Rental Housing

The Minnesota Crime Prevention Association is specifically designed for cities, rental property owners, and managers to help reduce the incidence of crime and disorderly behavior in the rental housing environment.

Minnesota Crime Free Rental Housing has established three unique phases that help to ensure a safe and comfortable residential environment.

  • Phase One: Management Training
  • Phase Two: Security Assessments
  • Phase Three: Resident Training/Crime Watch

All rental properties that participate in the eight hour phase one: management training course will learn the benefits of applicant screening, tips to strengthen rental agreements, warning signs of drug activity, the role of the police, how to become a proactive property manager, city ordinances, code enforcement, fire safety, and more.
