The Delaware Avenue Trail Gap and School Safety Project (County Project 63-32) will address pedestrian and bicycle safety along Delaware Avenue (CSAH 63) from Highway 62 to Marie Avenue in the area of Two Rivers High School in West Saint Paul and Mendota Heights. The project team is in the process of developing several project alternatives to meet the goals and recommendations from the Dakota County School Travel Safety Assessment for infrastructure along Delaware Avenue near the Two Rivers HS campus.

The purpose of this open house is to present exhibits depicting a few potential project options in order to gather feedback from area residents, the school district (ISD 197), and other community members who attend and/or utilize the school campus. The project team will then utilize the feedback gathered from this open house as part of deciding on a project alternative to recommend for final design.

We will be holding a public open house on Thursday, November 17th, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Two Rivers High School entrance atrium (1897 Delaware Ave, Mendota Heights, MN 55118) in Mendota Heights. This date and time was identified in partnership with ISD 197 staff as it coincides with the Two Rivers HS Parent-Teacher Conferences, as well as the High School’s Fall Play. This will enable us to organically reach a wider cross section of the school community to gather feedback.
