Nestled in the heart of West St. Paul at 374 Annapolis St W, Poppy & Wonderments is more than a shop, it’s a celebration of creativity, community, and imagination. This woman-owned, family-run business was drawn to the city for its vibrancy, growth, and supportive spirit, making West St. Paul the perfect place to bring their artistic vision to life.
The shop proudly features the work of more than 20 local artists from across Minnesota, ranging in age from 12 to 80.
From handcrafted home goods and ceramic sculptures to preserved-flower jewelry, fabric collages, and quirky gifts, every corner of Poppy & Wonderments is filled with unique treasures that spark conversation and showcase the community’s diverse creativity. But the shop is more than a marketplace, it’s also a hub for learning. With two classrooms and a dedicated group of artists eager to share their skills, Poppy & Wonderments offers engaging classes designed to foster creativity and inspire residents.
A whimsical highlight of the shop is its Tree of Wonder (below), a striking sculpture made of over 5,000 wine corks. Built over two months, the tree features a child-height viewing hole filled with delightful miniatures created by the owner’s daughter, Nadia. Since opening, the tree has already enchanted visitors (especially children) by sparking joy and curiosity just as it was intended. At its heart, Poppy & Wonderments is about connection. As Sue, the owner shares: “There has never been a time when I didn’t want to dedicate my life to art, and now I get to share that passion while helping other artists, too.”
With its vibrant mix of local artistry, interactive classes, and community spirit, Poppy & Wonderments invites everyone to stop in, explore, and experience the wonder.
